The Panasonic DVD-L50 has a built-in 5" widescreen
LCD monitor (measured diagonally). Designed like a
miniature movie screen, it allows you to watch movies in
their original 16:9 widescreen format. You can also
watch DVD movies in conventional 4:3 formats, such as
pan-and-scan or letterbox, with the NORMAL, FULL or
ZOOM display modes, helping to provide you with
different viewing perspectives. In addition, the
PalmTheaterTM LCD display uses over 280,000 pixels to
render images in amazingly sharp detail. And the TFT
active matrix LCD technology helps to reduce
reflections for a clear picture.
The DVD-L50 may be portable, but it's also an ideal
addition to your home entertainment system. It can be
connected to any TV and, thanks to Dolby Digital and
DTS outputs, you can even enjoy the thrilling sounds
of 5.1 channel surround sound. Just connect the player
to an optional Dolby Digital or DTS decoder to
reproduce amazing digital surround sound through your
multi-channel audio system.
Panasonic's DVD-L50 comes with a compact,
lightweight (0.66 pounds) rechargeable lithium ion
battery pack that gives you the option of watching
movies virtually anywhere you go.
A lithium ion battery pack allows you watch for up to 3
hours before having to recharge again. That's
significantly longer than the length of the average
movie, so you don't have to worry about missing
anything. Simply attach the battery pack to the rear
panel of your PalmTheaterTM portable DVD player and
you're set. In addition to the lithium ion battery pack, a
multi-voltage AC/DC adapter can power your
PalmTheaterTM. This included adapter can transform
your portable player into a home player or simply charge
the battery. The Multi-Voltage AC/DC adapter also
allows you to power your DVD player with a wide range
of AC voltages — from 110V to 240V. This means you
can travel with your portable DVD player to just about
anywhere in the world.
The DVD-L50 portable player comes with an
easy-to-use credit-card-sized remote that allows you to
control all of the major functions. The remote's
convenient, small size makes it ideal for either taking the
player on trips or controlling it from across the living
room.
